Personal Safety Skills For Women

These affordable empowerment programs have been offered to Denver residents since 1991. All Self-protection and Empowerment Training (SET) classes are taught in a safe, supportive, non-competitive environment by RAAP-certified instructors who have extensive backgrounds in victim related issues. All classes are taught and attended exclusively by female-identified women and girls. We strive to ensure that classes are appropriate for all students, regardless of strength or physical ability.

Through participation in educational discussions and role-play activities participants learn how to convey boundaries and awareness as well as effective physical, verbal and psychological protection techniques to fend off an attack. Students gain knowledge and understanding of vulnerable body targets, how to protect themselves against weapons and multiple attackers, releases from threatening holds and effective ground fighting techniques. The course is appropriate for women and girls aged 13 and older.
We offer 3-hour, 6-hour, and 12-hour programs.- Self-protection and Empowerment Training (SET) for Girls
