  • April 5th Rally Kicks Off Sexual Assault Awareness Month 2010

    April 5, 2010- Colorado kicked off Sexual Assault Awareness Month with a rally on the steps of the state capitol, featuring musical and theatrical performances, a reading of President Obama's national proclamation on Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and an award presentation to the sponsors of the Colorado Coalition Against Sexual Assault's 2010 legislation to support adult survivors of sexual violence.

    Hosted by the Colorado Association Against Sexual Assault, Our Sister's Keeper Coalition, the Colorado Organization for Victim Assistance, the Rape Assistance and Awareness Program, and the Sexual Assault Victim Advocate Center, the rally was attended by around 30 supporters and focused on raising awareness around the complex issues surrounding rape, healing and society.
